Watch Your Intake!
The amazing thing about flamingos is that they are not naturally pink. They get their color from the food they eat—algae and brine shrimp that their bodies metabolize as pigments, which turn their feathers pink. The result of what they feast upon is clearly seen by others. The same is true for you. Not only in the diet of foods that you eat – which bring their own results – but in the spiritual food you ingest into your life. Moses states in this week’s verse that not taking in God’s Word leaves you hungry. This diet displays itself in how you behave and how you talk. King David describes God’s Word as honey (Psalm 19:10). Feed yourself on the pure, golden, sweet Word of God and avoid processed philosophies or hybrid wisdom. It will show in your life!
